This morning at approximately 11:15 a.m. the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and Troutdale Fire Department responded to the report of a traffic crash involving a truck and a sedan on 257th south of Cherry Park Rd. The driver of the sedan did not survive the crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates the truck was heading southbound and the sedan was traveling northbound, when the truck lost control and struck the sedan. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
The East County Vehicular Crimes Team has responded to conduct the accident investigation. The East County Vehicular Crimes Team consists of MCSO deputies, Gresham Police and the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office. The area surrounding 257th and Cherry Park Rd. is expected to remain closed for the next few hours while the investigation is being conducted.
