Final Update: The two hikers rescued at Angel's Rest are identified as Lyndale Galino, Age 19 and Deaven Thielen, Age 20, of Portland, Oregon. Asked what happened the hikers said they travelled up the trail and then tried to continue up the rock slide area. They became worried they would slide down and off the embankment they were on and stopped. They called a family member who told them to call 911. After calling 911 they waited as they were contacted by an MCSO deputy and did as instructed staying in place so search and rescue personnel could locate and bring them down safely from the slide area they were in.
