Today, May 29th, at approximately 5 p.m., the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Gresham Fire Department, and AMR responded to the report of a crash involving a two vehicles on Stark Street south of the Sandy River.
The driver of the first vehicle was pinned and had to be extracted by Gresham Fire. That same driver was later pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, while the passengers were taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
The East County Vehicular Crimes Team, consisting of MCSO Deputies, Gresham Police Officers, and members of the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, responded to conduct the crash investigation. Stark Street reopened at 10:15 p.m.
The investigation in on-going, and no further details are available at this time.
