On Saturday, December 14 at 11:21 a.m., the Portland Police Bureau received a report of a possible kidnapping in the area of SE 104th Ave. & SE Division St. PPB officers responded and located a victim, who was severely injured, locked in the trunk of a vehicle. Paramedics took the woman to a local hospital. Her injuries are not life threatening.
Investigators learned the incident began in Multnomah County on NW Logie Trail Road. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office took over the investigation and determined the incident was domestic violence in nature. Detectives arrested Jarod Scott Bowman, 36, on the following charges: Assault II-Domestic Violence, Strangulation-Domestic Violence, Kidnap I and Coercion. MCSO wants to acknowledge PPB for their immediate response, their ability to end the crisis and for providing investigative help from their Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team.
The investigation is ongoing and no further details can be released at this time. No interviews are available.
