On 10/20/2016 at approximately 5:00 am Portland Police SERT served a search warrant for the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU). The search warrant was for the residence located at 5320 SE 122nd and included an apartment at 5312 SE 122nd, Apt. A.
The search warrant was part of an investigation being conducted by SIU in cooperation with the Portland Police Bureau's Neighborhood Response Team, after several complaints from neighbors in the area. Further investigation revealed the occupants of the home were members of the Brood street gang, who had moved into the homes after they had been left vacant. The Brood members were selling methamphetamine, stealing cars and trying to take over the entire property.
Detectives recovered methamphetamine, scales, packaging material, a stolen vehicle, and items used for ID theft. Five people were arrested as a result of the investigation, and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges related to the items found at the homes. The names of those arrested are;

Kyleah M. Hegre, 22
Donald R. Michaels Jr, 43
Shawna D. Rodriguez, 27
Charles C. O'Neil, 20
