On August 24, at approximately 11:43 p.m., Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies were dispatched to the intersection of NE Marine Drive and Blue Lake Road for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, first responders found the 2008 Ford Mustang had crashed into the guardrail. The female passenger did not survive. Because of the severity of the crash, MCSO’s Vehicular Crash team (VCT) was activated. Deputies arrested Thomas King, 28, believed to the driver, on a charge of manslaughter in the second degree. The cause of the crash is under investigation. All impacted roads reopened around 5:30 a.m. No further comment is available at this time.
