The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Transit Police Division arrested the suspect wanted for using pepper spray on a TriMet bus operator last week. The crime occurred around 6:45 p.m. on February 1, 2022. The suspect is 30-year-old Joseph Ransom, who goes by the name of Mira Freja and uses she/her pronouns.
Ransom was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center and is charged with Assault III, Unlawful Use of Pepper Spray and Interference with Public Transportation. She was also excluded from the TriMet system for 90 days.
