On Tuesday, 12/13/2016 at approximately 12:30 p.m. Multnomah County Sheriff's Office River Patrol deputies responded to the report of a body seen in the Willamette River near Swan Island. MCSO River Patrol units, assisted by the Portland Fire Bureau, arrived in the area a short time later and recovered the body of a deceased adult female from the water.
MCSO detectives have been notified and will be conducting a death investigation. The body has been turned over to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner's Office. No further details are available at this time pending identification and family notifications.
