On Tuesday, February 14, around 7:30 a.m., Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Transit Police Division responded to a report of a crash involving a TriMet bus and a pedestrian on NE Pacific Street, west of NE 99th Avenue.
When Transit Police officers arrived, they located a TriMet bus stopped midblock, facing eastbound, on NE Pacific Street. Officers located an adult male deceased on scene.
A passenger was on the bus at the time. The passenger did not report any injuries.
NE Pacific Street was closed for approximately four hours during the crash investigation.
The bus driver is cooperating with police.
The identification of the deceased male can be released when next of kin notifications have been made. No further information can be released at this time.
