The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) has been cooperating with the Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) regarding an investigation into allegations made against an MCSO employee.
MCSO takes any and all allegations of misconduct seriously and has worked to ensure the integrity of WCSO's criminal investigation. After consultation with WCSO investigators, MCSO placed the employee in question on administrative leave.
MCSO will conduct an administrative investigation which will commence after WCSO concludes the criminal investigation in order to not compromise the integrity of the criminal case. MCSO will hold the employee accountable to investigative findings.
MCSO and WCSO cannot comment further on matters under active investigation.
